If you configured any additional data in the previous section you will need to create entity fields / table columns for the fields on your forms so that this data can be saved when it's returned from our APIs. For each additional data item you enabled repeat the process below:
Select Tables from the left hand menu of the main Power Apps interface.
Click the Table you want to configure (e.g. Account).
Click the Edit button at the top of the columns and data panel.
Click New column in the command bar.
Give your field an appropriate Display name and optional description.
Select appropriate options for the Data type and Format fields.
Make a note of these newly created field names as you'll need to know them when adding fields to a form and mapping fields in future sections.
Special fields
There are a handful of special fields which provide optional functionality that will give an extra level of detail on validated address, email and phone data. The creation of these is detailed below:
Configure this optional functionality to store the validation status and a timestamp together with the validated addresses, emails or phone numbers.
Select Tables from the left hand menu of the main Power Apps interface.
Click the Table you want to configure (e.g. Account).
Click the Edit button at the top of the columns and data panel.
Click New column in the command bar.
You need to create two fields for each validation type (address, email and/or phone). These fields are:
Validation message
Click New column in the command bar.
Give your field a Display name e.g. Address validation message.
Select Single line of text for the Data type field.
Make a note of these newly created field names as you'll need to know them when adding fields to a form and mapping fields in future sections.
Country phone codes (or international calling codes) are prefixes assigned by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to identify countries for international calls. You can configure this optional functionality to include country phone codes in your form, and you also have the option to preselect a default country code. Without a country code field, the user will need to manually add the appropriate international code before entering their phone number.
You will need an Experian Phone Validation license to be able to use this feature.
Select Tables from the left-hand menu of the main Power Apps interface.
Click the Table you want to configure (e.g. Account).
Click the Edit button at the top of the columns and data panel.
Click New column in the command bar.
Give your field an appropriate Display name e.g. Country code.
Select Choice for the Data type field.
For the Sync with global choice? option choose Yes (recommended).
For the Sync this choice with option choose Country phone codes.
Note that the list of country phone codes is customizable in the Choices section of the left-hand menu of the main Power Apps interface. The Choice to edit is called Country phone codes.
Remember the field name
Make a note of the newly created field name as you'll need to know it when adding fields to a form and mapping fields in future sections.
