Information prompt

These settings are found in the server ini file, qaworld.ini.

Format:

[identifier]Stage1Prompt={text string}

Default:

Varies for each dataset.

Purpose:

This setting and the Stage2MergedTDPrompt setting control the search prompts for Typedown searches. Use this setting to change the prompt for the first stage of a Typedown search. [identifier] is the data mapping identifier for the data mapping with which the custom prompt will be used.

This setting has no effect on searching. It should be used to help users enter the expected information.

Example:

USAStage1Prompt=Enter a ZIP Code (e.g. 94109)

This example changes the first Typedown prompt for the USA data mapping to encourage users to only enter a ZIP code, and includes an example.

This setting controls the search prompt for Verification searches which return the Interaction required verification level. You can customise this prompt to assist your users in responding to search results.

[identifier] is the data mapping identifier for the data mapping with which the prompt will be used. If you omit [identifier] the prompt will apply to all data mappings which do not have this setting individually configured.

This setting has no effect on searching. It should be used to help users enter the expected information.

Example:

This example changes the Interaction required prompt for the USA data mapping to "Please check the address".
