Clean Web Service provides the ability to clean, enrich and validate postal and email address details quickly and accurately via a hosted service.

As a back office tool, Clean Web Service is designed to clean and validate the address and email data you have collected from your customers, contacts and prospects. Our postal data is sourced from the official postal authorities of the relevant country, and is updated regularly. Email addresses are checked in real time against the email service providers. As such, Clean Web Service should be used regularly to ensure that your contact information is always correct and up-to-date.

Clean Web Service currently has two different versions. Version 1 is synchronous and can be used to clean postal addresses only. Version 2 is asynchronous and can clean postal addresses as well as validating email addresses.

Clean Web Service cleans postal addresses from your contact database, including corrections and updates to the following:

  • Misspelled and mistyped information
  • Omitted information
  • Incorrect or outdated postal codes
  • Inconsistent and non-standard formatting
  • Standardisation with country-specific preferences

DataPlus information can be appended to all cleaned postal addresses, allowing you to enrich the quality of your existing data. DataPlus includes the following information:

  • Contact telephone and fax numbers
  • Geographic coordinates
  • Government catchment areas
  • Business and employment information

Clean Web Service can also validate email addresses alongside cleaning postal addresses, including validating the following:

  • Mailbox or domain exists.
  • Mailbox is deliverable.
  • Mailbox is legitimate.
  • Domain is reachable.
  • Domain is disposable.

The extent to which contact data can be cleaned and enriched may vary depending on the quality of the information you provide.
