Aperture Match allows users, including Consumer users, with the Manage duplicate store clusters permission to manually review record clusters that have been matched by rules and blocking keys.
From the Duplicate stores list screen or Dashboard widget, click Review Duplicate stores, which will take you to a screen displaying all of the stores available to be reviewed. Choose the review type (match level or selective review) by clicking on the Actions menu of the store.
Match level review automatically selects clusters containing lower confidence matches (L2 and L3) for review. The clusters are presented one by one for review and adjustment. You can drag and drop records to split out records from a cluster or confirm low confidence matches.
Once you have completed your changes for a cluster, click Accept clusters to commit the new cluster arrangement to the store and the next cluster will then be displayed for review.
When all clusters containing L2 or L3 links have been reviewed, the review status for the store will show as Complete on the list screen.
In contrast to match-level review, selective review is to manually retrieve clusters at any level for review. Selecting Perform selective review from the Actions menu takes you to the start of the Selective review wizard from where records can be searched.
There are multiple ways to search the store for records on this screen:
The Record fields and Element types searches operate based on the predefined search rules, requiring sufficient input data to successfully locate the matching record.
Clicking the search button will return any records that match the search and display the results in the table. Select the records to be reviewed. You are able to perform multiple searches and select various records to review at once.
Once all needed records are selected they can be viewed by clicking the Show selected button at the top of the table. This will clear the table of search results and only display the selected records. Deselect not wanted records from this view. To go back to the search results of the last performed search click Show search results.
Once all reviewable records are selected click Review selections at the bottom of the screen to go to the review page.
The review screen will display all previously selected records, as well as all records that are in the same clusters as those selected records. You can now drag and drop records and arrange them into clusters, or split them out into separate records, as desired.
Once you are finished with the arrangement of records and clusters, clicking Accept clusters will save the changes and exit out of the screen. Clicking Accept clusters and select again takes you back to the search screen where you are able to continue to search for records in order to review them.
After accepting clusters, match level exceptions are created to represent the overriding of the rules based matching results with the custom changes. This will be displayed with a symbol beside the records that have been affected. Those can be viewed on the selective review search screen. Clicking the symbol will give details about the committed exception.
When viewing match level exceptions for a specific record, the data for that record is displayed at the top of the screen. Below you find information about all records that now have match level exceptions with the selected record in the Duplicate store. You can see the match level determined by the rules, and the updated match level that the exception now prescribes for the pair or records. These paired records are grouped according to the date and time they were submitted, and the user who submitted them.
